Hellengerst is home to the Rainalter family and the Hanusel Hof Golf and Spa Hotel, which is situated at 950 meters above sea level. The isolated location on the high plateau between Kempten and Isny boasts the most hours of sunshine in the region. The view of wonderful mountain scenery is unique – from the Zugspitze Mountain over the peaks of the Tannheimer Valley past the Grünten and Oberallgäuer main ridge to the Säntis Mountain in Switzerland.
Arrival by train
Coming from Germany, your destination is Kempten in Allgäu. Whether from Berlin, Hamburg, Stuttgart or Munich – fast connections and several departure times daily are at your disposal (to the timetable information of the Deutsche Bahn). From Kempten main station you can easily reach Hanusel Hof by taxi. A taxi stand is located directly at the main exit of the station.
Arrival by car
- Please note:
On the last kilometers before Hellengerst, pay attention to the yellow sign "Ausfahrt Hellengerst". Take the first parking lot after the Waltenhofen exit or, when coming from the direction of Weitnau, the first parking lot after Weitnau. The actual exit to Hellengerst is at the end of the parking lot. - From Austria/Switzerland:
Take the A96 towards Memmingen to the Weißenberg exit. Continue on the B12 via Isny towards Kempten to the Hellengerst exit. - From Munich:
Take the A96 towards Lindau. Continue on the B12 in the direction of Kempten. Then take the A7 to the motorway junction Allgäu. Continue on A980 direction Lindau until exit Hellengerst.
- Coming from Stuttgart, Ulm (A7) or Munich, Augsburg (A8):
Take the A7 towards Kempten to the Allgäu motorway junction. Continue on the A980 in the direction of Lindau until you reach the Hellengerst exit. - From Ravensburg:
On the B32 via Wangen to Hergatz. Then take the B12 via Isny towards Kempten to the Hellengerst exit. - From Friedrichshafen/Lake Constance:
Take the B31 in the direction of Lindau. Then take the A96 towards Memmingen to the Weißenberg exit. Take the B12 via Isny in the direction of Kempten until you reach the Hellengerst exit.
